Most of us are so busy that we really have to Make Time! to be with and play with our kids. If we are not conscious of it the day may pass without being there for them, the week will have gone by and we have not really connected, and worse their childhood may be over before we even played with them in the rain.
Make the time to play!
I know, i know… with the swine flu scare in full swing, such a thought may seem to be unthinkable. But you can actually let your children play in the rain with some precautions if you are really concerned.
When your children are going boinkers from staying indoors for days on end, this is actually the best activity there is.
Traditionally, we celebrate the falling of the teeth with a visit from the tooth fairy who exchanges money for the tooth that is left under pillows.
But that tradition does not sit well with me, so for my son, Juan, I made a little pouch instead. Why a pouch?
