Although kinder lyres are part of the musical education of Waldorf kids, I am very pleasantly surprised it has become part of mine as well. It has become part of our routine to play a few notes before bedtime as part of our ritual. Each of us taking turn, composing our own tunes or trying to play a favorite one. Sometimes successful, sometimes not. But the great thing about it, any tune you make seems to be the right one. It seems impossible to play out of tune! Find out for yourself, better yet, make it your own bedtime ritual and you’ll be happy to have that extra bonding time with your kids.

Hi Christian and Tet! I am Weng Evangelista, a Waldorf parent just like both of you. I have two kids in Waldorf, Nikolai in Class 4 and Pia in Class 3. I actually saw the ad above near the guard house and I am wondering if you are getting these lyres from Harps of Lorien? You see two years ago, I bought the kinder lyre from them since it is being used in Ms. Mary Joan’s class. I ordered extra strings then but Pia has already used about two pieces of the string. I am wondering if you could probably accommodate my need for an extra set of strings and an extra lyre case. I recall that Raphael does sell them. Thanks and Hope to hear from you. Have a nice day!
Hi, Weng. Very nice to hear from you : ) so your Pia is the classmate of Lawin? Cecille is a good friend of ours. Your Pia must be getting very good with her lyre : ) Of course we can get your strings, let me just bundle it when someone orders the lyre so the shipping cost won’t be more expensive than the strings : ) Have a great day too!
